Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
For two hundred years, the clockwork city of Metrognome has ticked relentlessly towards an inevitable future. It is a haven for the smallest of races, protecting them from a world of raging hordes, corrupt empires and divine persecution. But Calvin Maxwell, the youngest in a line of brilliant inventors, knows that the peace cannot last. War is brewing, and his inventions may be the only thing that can keep Metrognome safe.
This is not his story.
This is the story of the girl who cleans his chimneys.
Her name is Cinders J. Blackbelch. Her friends call her Cindy. She is of the smog goblin caste - the highest of the high. Which would be good in a culture that valued high things. But in Metrognome, fortune favors the middle. And Cindy couldn't be further from the Centerclock if she tried.
As Cindy, you must navigate hazardous rooftops, mutant crows, rival gangs and more as you struggle to eke out a meager living and keep in time with the Centerclock's endless beat.
And as war closes in upon the city, the time may finally come to prove that it's good to have friends in high places.
